1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using Block One, operated by Block One Fitness (ABN 19 291 354 211) (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App. The App is operated from Perth, Western Australia. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Australia.
2. Description of Service
Block One is an AI-powered fitness tracking application that allows users to:
- •Log workouts and track exercises
- •Monitor body weight and fitness progress
- •View workout history, analytics, and personal records
- •Access workout templates and training programs
- •Receive AI-powered coaching and workout recommendations
- •Use voice input for hands-free workout logging
3. User Accounts
Registration
To use certain features, you must create an account with accurate and complete information. You may register using email and password or Apple Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
Account Security
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
Age Requirement
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account and use the App.
4. AI-Powered Features
IMPORTANT: Block One uses artificial intelligence (Anthropic Claude and OpenAI) to provide coaching recommendations, generate workouts, and offer training guidance. AI-generated content is for informational purposes only and should not be treated as professional fitness, medical, or health advice.
AI features process your fitness data (workout history, body metrics, training preferences) to generate personalised recommendations. AI outputs may occasionally be inaccurate or unsuitable for your individual circumstances. Always use your own judgement when following AI recommendations.
Voice input uses third-party speech-to-text processing (Deepgram). Audio is transcribed and immediately discarded. Recordings are not stored.
5. Health and Fitness Disclaimer
Block One is a fitness tracking tool, not a medical device or therapeutic service. The App does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Consult with a qualified healthcare professional before starting any exercise program, especially if you have pre-existing health conditions, injuries, or are pregnant.
All workout recommendations, including those generated by AI, are general guidelines and should be adapted to your individual needs, abilities, and limitations. You exercise at your own risk.
6. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- •Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- •Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App
- •Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
- •Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- •Use AI features to generate harmful or inappropriate content
7. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the App are owned by Block One and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws under Australian and international law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
Your workout data and personal information remain your property. You may export or delete your data at any time via the Settings menu.
8. Data and Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). By using the App, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Subscription and Payments
Block One offers premium features through paid subscriptions (“Block One Pro”). Subscriptions are managed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's terms and conditions.
Free Trial
New subscribers may be eligible for a 14-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial period ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription at the then-current price. You will be charged through your Apple ID account.
Billing and Renewal
Subscriptions are available on a monthly or annual basis. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the then-current subscription price.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's subscription settings (Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions) or through the App Store. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial periods.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account for conduct that we reasonably believe violates these Terms.
You may delete your account at any time through the Settings menu. Upon deletion, your data will be removed as described in our Privacy Policy. Any active subscription will continue to bill until cancelled through Apple's subscription settings. Block One cannot issue refunds for subscription periods remaining after account deletion; refund requests must be directed to Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, including the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010), Block One's liability for any claim arising from your use of the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy conferred by the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Western Australia and the Commonwealth of Australia. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Western Australia.
13. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or via email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
